Tuesday 11/27:  The students will discuss Planning for Instruction.  Slide presentation.

Wednesday 11/28:  The students will discuss Planning for Instruction.  Slide presentation.

Thursday 11/29:  The student will discuss vocabulary – Chapter 11, Activity A.

Friday 11/30:  The students will discuss Bloom’s Taxonomy – class discussion over p. 271 and verbs on p. 273.

Monday 12/3:  The students will look at a sample lesson plan – class discussion over p. 268-269.

Tuesday 12/4:  The students will research Icebreakers, Energizers, and Transitions for lessons – Chapter 11, Activity B.

Wednesday 12/5:  The students will discuss effective teaching.  Assign and explain Chapter 11, Activity C.

Thursday 12/6:  The students will discuss the current initiatives in education today.  We will discuss how they relate to the TEKS used in Texas.

Friday 12/6:  The students will research current initiatives.  Complete Chapter 11, Activity D.

Monday 12/10:  The students will discuss how to organize learning.  Complete Chapter 11, Activity E together.

Tuesday 12/11:  The students will discuss how to create lesson plans.

Wednesday 12/12:  The students will review for Chapter 11 Test:  Quiziz review.

Thursday 12/13:  The students will demonstrate knowledge of Planning for Instruction:  Test

Friday 12/14:  The students will review for the semester exam.

Monday 12/17:  The students will review for the semester exam.

Tuesday 12/18:  Exam day.

Wednesday 12/18:  Exam day.

Thursday 12/20:  Exam day.

Monday: The students will work with their mentor teachers and their classes.

Thursday:  The students will work with their mentor teachers and their classes.

Friday:  The students will debrief from the week in the IPET classroom.

November 9

POE Lesson Plans 11/12-16/18

Monday:  The students will discuss Ethics in the classroom.  Complete Chapter 10 Activity D.

Tuesday:  The students will discuss effective communication in the classroom and with parents.  Students will complete Chapter 10 Activity F.

Wednesday:  The students will brainstorm effective teachers.  They will write a letter to the teacher explaining why they were an effective teacher.

Thursday:  The students will peer edit rough drafts and make corrections.  Students will turn in rough drafts.

Friday:  The students will make final edits and deliver letters to their teachers.

October 10

POE Lesson Plans 10/15-19/18

Monday – The students will discuss learning styles.  Students will take a learning styles inventory to discover their own learning style.  Discuss learning/studying techniques particular to their learning style.

Tuesday – The students will take a Multiple Intelligence Inventory.  Students will discuss where their multiple intelligences lie.  Discuss jobs/fields of study that go along with intelligences.

Wednesday – The students will discuss gifted learners and special populations.  Discuss the chart on page 220-221.

Thursday – The student will discuss language diversity.  Discuss Limited English Proficiency and English Language Learners.  Complete worksheet 9-5.

Friday – Student Holiday
